Percussionist, singer, author, composer and producer … Manuel Wandji, alias "Wambo", has more than one string to his bow! While the source of his inspiration is African, this half- Cameroon half-French musician loves to travel the world (Africa, USA & Europe) to collaborate with artists from all horizons and to soak up new sounds …
This has led to playing alongside the greatest African artists - Ray Lema, Papa Wemba, Geoffrey Oryema, Manu Dibango.... and accompanying singers such as Ben Harper, Tom Jones and many others on the acclaimed French television programme "Nulle part ailleurs" on Canal+.
He created his own recording studio and label "Wambo productions" in to be free to compose and arrange according to his inspiration. The first two Henri Dikongué albums are the work of Manuel Wandji as are many sound tracks for dance companies (Cie Accrorap…).
Today, Manuel has a double career : the "Voices of Percussion Project" with his friends from the world of dance in Europe and America -, and a second career in Africa under the stage name of "Wambo" (Afro-reggae songs).
