In more than 10 years of existence, Akalé Wubé has continuously expanded the framework in which his music, increasingly rich and deep, is unfolding, in the image of his first source of inspiration: the popular Ethiopian repertoire of the 60s and 70s. Originally gathered around covers of the series "Ethiopiques", the group grew up by immersing itself deeply in Ethiopian music and by multiplying collaboration with Ethiopian, African and European musicians and dancers. Little by little, Akalé Wubé’s two hundred concerts in Europe, Asia and Africa have made him one of the world’s ambassadors of the Ethiopian groove.
Akalé Wubé released four albums, "Akalé Wubé", "Mata", "Sost" and "Mistakes on Purpose" (in the series "Ethiopiques") with Girma Bèyènè, all four plebiscited by the French media and repeated on numerous compilations. The quintet has played more than two hundred concerts, in the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
