With Peruvian origins, Ricardo Delgado is born in the city of Arequipa, on November 29th, 1966. He studies music in the regional Music academy (Arequipa) “Luis Dunker Lavalle”. Then he joins the national University of San Agustin (Arequipa) in 1984, where he studies flute, piano and singing. Based in Paris since 1996, he began its career as a singer and soloist of Andean and Peruvian musical instruments. He gives concerts in various countries in Europe, in Asia and in the Middle East, with a vast diversity of songs from Latin America, Peru and arequipeña music.
On August 11th, 2013, he gives a concert of reunions in homage to the 473rd anniversary of the city of Arequipa (in August 15th) in his main theater (Municipal theater). The authorities put back him the Diploma of honor of the City for its career of folklore Arequipeno.
On August 2nd, 2014, he participates in the 2nd edition of the Festival of the Chicha presenting traditional songs on the main place of the white city, also won a prize and was honored ambassador of Peruvian music by the provincial Council of Arequipa.
Ricardo participates in diverse cultural activities representing Peru, by giving concerts in a group or solo in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, China, Algeria, Dubai, Argentina and Bolivia.
He plays with symphony orchestras and of course music groups South American.
Ricardo already prepares a new album with songs in Qena, musical and album with international boleros in the language of the Inca ancestors “The Quechua”.
He lives at present in Paris. He is recognized for his friendly attitude and is committed to the Peruvian and South American culture.
